The following workaround solution should work:
1. Backup any files that you modified between your last commit and now.
2. Create a new 'hydrodesktop' directory on your local computer.
3. Right-click on the 'hydrodesktop' directory and select 'svn checkout' in the context menu.
4. This way the most up-to-date code will be copied to your local directory.
I recommend that you do an update and commit changes frequently. Usually this works. If you get an 'conflicted' warning, use the SVN 'resolve' option.
Thank you for contributing code to HydroDesktop.
